Pepper steak

1 green pepper, sliced
1/2 large yellow onion, sliced
2 lbs steak, sliced thinly across the grain
1 t minced garlic

Heat pan over medium-high heat. Season sliced beef with ground pepper. Add steak to pan in batches (do not over crowd the pan). Sear till browned then removed.

After steak is done, add peppers and onions and minced garlic to pan and cook about 1 minutes, stirring to prevent burning. Turn heat down to medium -low

Add about 1 cup of water, 3 tablespoons of worcestershire sauce, 1/4 low sodium soy sauce, 1 teaspoon sugar and 1 tablespoon oyster sauce to the pan and bring to a boil. Add steak back to pan. Mix 1 tablespoon corn starch with cold water and add to pan. Cook until sauce thickens.

Serve over jasmine rice

  1. Sounds yummy. Would this be good with broccoli or peas? Sometimes I don't care for green peppers...
